{"id":4298,"date":"2023-10-11T09:25:00","date_gmt":"2023-10-11T15:25:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dnilogistics.com\/new-railroad-bridge-on-the-laredo-border\/"},"modified":"2025-02-15T12:33:05","modified_gmt":"2025-02-15T18:33:05","slug":"new-railroad-bridge-on-the-laredo-border","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dnilogistics.com\/en\/new-railroad-bridge-on-the-laredo-border\/","title":{"rendered":"New railroad bridge on the Laredo border."},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Agility in the transit of goods and growth of trade.<\/h3><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Construction has begun on the eighth railway bridge between Mexico and the United States, which <strong>will speed up the transit of goods and contribute to the growth of North American trade<\/strong>.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>It is expected to increase train traffic, which in the long term could rise to 60 units per day.<\/strong><\/em><\/p><div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"683\" height=\"1024\" src=\"http:\/\/dnilogistics.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/post1-1-683x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2952\" style=\"width:369px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dnilogistics.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/post1-1-683x1024.jpg 683w, https:\/\/dnilogistics.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/post1-1-600x900.jpg 600w, https:\/\/dnilogistics.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/post1-1-200x300.jpg 200w, https:\/\/dnilogistics.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/post1-1-768x1152.jpg 768w, https:\/\/dnilogistics.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/post1-1.jpg 1000w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 683px) 100vw, 683px\" \/><\/figure><\/div><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Currently, the railway transports all types of goods except live animals and certain hazardous materials. Intermodal transport is the one with the highest volume, that is, 46% against general cargo, but in revenue it is 16%, hence the importance of the new bridge. <\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The construction of the second railway bridge between Nuevo Laredo (Tamaulipas) and Laredo (Texas) is 35% complete and once completed, at the end of next year, it will contribute to increasing the crossing from between 21 and 22 trains to 30 or 35 trains per day.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Among the expected innovations are gamma-ray machines to be able to scan the same number of trains.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The investment of 120 million dollars for this double trade lane implies an increase in trade capacity.
