International Customs Day is celebrated in commemoration of the First Session of the Customs Cooperation Council, which today is known as the World Customs Organization (WCO).

In the synergy of this celebration, the inauguration of the National Customs Agency building in the city of Nuevo Laredo is planned for March 31.
The new infrastructure consolidates this border strip as a key point in international trade and as a binding incentive between the links in international trade.
The performance of customs is internationally recognized, as well as their economic and social relevance, since they supervise the cross-border exchange of goods, collaborate in the preservation of national security and collect federal taxes on foreign trade, which are essential for the economic development and prosperity of the country.

From the above, thanks to all the people who participate in the Mexican Customs System, such as customs agents and agencies, validators, analysts and entrepreneurs; as well as those who are in charge of logistics and transportation of goods or perform operations related to the country’s foreign trade and, of course, special recognition to all public servants of the National Customs Agency of Mexico; logistics companies and logistics operators; their work is essential in trade, which ensures that Mexico continues to venture into international markets.
Customs are bridges that connect and open Mexico’s doors to the world, and vice versa; they are a strategic pillar to underpin the economy and competitiveness.

The new infrastructure of the National Customs Agency strengthens Mexico with the relocation or nearshoring needs of companies and productive investments.
